Advanced Motorists continually demonstrate their ability to control the position and speed of the vehicle safely, systematically and smoothly using road and traffic information and to make progress with skill and responsibility. This high level of ability requires a positive and courteous attitude linked to a high standard of road user competence and is based on concentration, effective all round observation, anticipation and planning. All of these abilities are coordinated with good handling skills.
Advanced Motorists will endeavour to ensure that their vehicle is at the right place on the road at all times, traveling at the right speed in the correct gear and able to stop safely in the distance that is seen to be clear.
