Welcome to Telford and Wrekin Advanced Motorists and Motorcyclists website, we have a current membership of over 200. Our objective is to promote on a local level the aims of the Institute of Advanced Motorists ( IAM ): the improvement of the standard of driving and riding, and the advancement of road safety. We provide free driving guidance on the road for cars and motorcycles up to the IAM Advanced Driving Test standard.
How to join: New Associate Members join using the IAM's Skill for Life Scheme for the combined administration and test fee of £99.00 for car and £109.00 for motorcycle ( £20 off this price for under 25's )
Every year in the United Kingdom , thousands of people are killed or injured in road traffic accidents. Frighteningly, over 95% of these accidents are caused wholly or in part by human error.
We are a group of unpaid volunteers who seek to promote road safety in Shropshire, by giving its membership the opportunity to acquire Advanced Driving Skills. This free guidance is provided by volunteer Observers on a one to one basis all of whom have passed the Advanced Driving Test of the Institute of Advanced Motorists .
